About
Arian (“Arik”) Jakob, co-founder of Segall Group, manages the firm’s financial matters and development activities. Arik’s responsibilities involve long term strategy, goal planning, financial affairs and day to day operation of the firm. Arik has extensive knowledge in debt and equity financing, project entitlement process and the development of retail properties.
Mr. Jakob attained a B.S. in Accounting at Towson University in 1993 and was the Class Valedictorian with an overall 4.0 G.P.A. After a brief stint at KPMG, he consulted and brokered deals for a variety of multi-national corporations and governments. In the late 1990s, he started and operated two successful, multi-unit retail enterprises: a chain of mall-based cellular sales and service stores, and two upscale wine concept stores.
From the mid-2000s, he has overseen the development of commercial real estate developments in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and a licensed salesperson in Maryland.
Arian is fluent in English, Russian, Lithuanian, and Hebrew. For the past five years, he has served as a volunteer EMT at the Chesnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company, near his home in northwest Baltimore County.
